GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, PURMANDAL (GDC PURMANDAL) The emblem of Government Degree College, Purmandal (GDC Purmandal) features an image of a peacock placed in a circle with the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्याधनं सर्वधनप्रधानम्’ (Niti Satakam, Bhartihari), which translates to ‘Wealth of Education is the Supreme of all the Wealth’. The elements are ensconced by a circular border with blue outlines inscribed with the name of the college and its year of establishment. The majestic Indian Peacock with its vibrant plumage fully fanned out is a symbol of beauty, knowledge and wisdom and its fully opened feathers signify the expansion of the mind, intellectual growth, and the blossoming of a student's hidden potential.
