GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, KHALTSE (GDC KHALTSE) The blue and red emblem of Government Degree College, Khaltse (GDC Khaltse) features a circle with mountain range with peaks supported by a shield inscribed with a mortarboard hat, a flaming torch, an open book and the the motto of the college ‘Crafting Excellence’ The shield is supported by a pair of laurels and a banner inscribed with the year of establishment of the college. The circle is ensconced by a border with outlines and inscribed with the name and place of the college. The snow-capped mountain range represents the rugged, majestic landscape of the Ladakh region where the college is situated. The mortarboard hat or Oxford hat serves as a universal symbol of higher education, successful academic completion and scholarly attainment.
