R.K. COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, SAMBA (RKCE SAMBA) The emblem of R.K. College of Education, Samba (RKCE Samba) features a blue circular border inscribed with the name of the college housing the motif of a traditional lamp and crowned by Garuda or bald eagle on the wings. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad), which translates ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ is written on a blue banner placed on the circle below the lamp. The assemblage is supported by a base inscribed with the name of the locality of the college. The eagle spread wings represents high aspirations, soaring vision and intellectual flight; the lamp represents the soul, enlightenment, and the self-effulgent nature of knowledge and it signifies that even a small light can eliminate vast darkness, mirroring the profound impact a single teacher can make on society.
