BIRLA GLOBAL UNIVERSITY

Birla Global University (BGU) is a self-financed private unitary university established by the Birla Global University Odisha Act, 2015 in Bhubaneswar. The university is managed by Birla Academy of Art & Culture. The insignia of the university has a motif of the Wheel of Konark in orange surrounded by five human-like figures in light green and blue symbolising the cultural heritage of Odisha and its stakeholders. At its right the acronym and name of the university is written in sans serif blue and orange colours. The wheel symbolises moving in general and the continuity of changes and the Wheel of Konark denotes life and times. The orange colour symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

ECGC LIMITED ECGC Limited (Formerly Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd.), wholly owned by Government of India, was set up in 1957 with the objective of promoting exports from the country by providing Credit Risk Insurance and related services for exports. UTTARAKHAND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT BOARD Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) is the highest body to advise the Government on all matters relating to tourism in the State. The logo of the Board is based on Devanagari letter ‘उ’ drawn using four swooshes, in which the cyan represents the mountains, blue represents the rivers, red represents the temples of the land and green represents the forests. The logo, as a composite, looks bright, vibrant and enthusiastic, thereby inviting tourists to this State. Below this the name of the State is written. GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, THONDAMUTHUR (GASCTMR) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Thondamuthur (GASCTMR) features a shield housing the images of a plantain field, a vineyard, a herd of elephants in the forest and Western Ghats mountain range denoting the local agriculture and the geography. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
