The emblem of Government Arts College, Paramakudi (GACPMK) features the gopuram of Sundararaja Perumal temple supported by a traditional lamp and a pair of laurels with an open book placed at the bottom. These motifs are ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college in Tamil. The motto of the college in Tamil ‘அன்பு அடக்கம் அறிவு’ meaning ‘Love Humility Knowledge’ is inscribed on a blue banner placed below the seal. The gopuram refers to heritage and tradition, and divine grace and guidance; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
