NATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY COUNCIL
NATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY COUNCIL |
The yellow and blue circular emblem of National Productivity Council (NPC) has a torch in a yellow circle supported by a gear wheel. The torch is ensconced by a circular border, which bears its motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’; three mangoes and crest of a cereal. Its name is written above the seal in Devanagari and below the seal in English. The counter of the wheel houses its acronym in Devanagari. The torch refers to enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the gear wheel refers to interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure and the fruits and the cereal refer to growth, production and productivity.
