The oval-shaped emblem of National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCCBM) has a brick towel bearing a flower of different tiles and its acronym in Devanagari and English. The motifs are ensconced by an oval border which is inscribed with its name in Devanagari and English and a gear wheel. At the bottom, on a banner its motto in Sanskrit ‘न हि ज्ञानेन सदृशं पवित्रमिह विद्यते’ (Shloka 38, Chapter 4, Srimad Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘In this World there Exists No Purifier Comparable to Knowledge’. The gear wheel refers to interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.
