The gold denotes wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and the colour red denotes passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.

BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY Bharathidasan University (BDU) was established in February 1982 and was named after the Tamil poet, Bharathidasan. The motto of the university ‘We Will Create a Brave New World’ meaning ‘புதியதோர் உலகம் செய்வோம்’. The Bharathidasan Institute of Management known as BIM is located within the BHEL premises, a public sector undertaking at Thiruverumbur.
