THE I.K. GUJRAL PUNJAB TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) was established by an Act of State Legislature on January 16, 1997, to promote technical, management and pharmaceutical education in the State. It got its current name in 2015. The red and blue emblem of the university has a structure of an atom with a sun placed in the centre and supported at the bottom by a pair of hands on a blue circle, meaning the nourish, support and propagate technical and scientific education. It is ensconced in a red border which bears the name of the university in Punjabi and English. Below this on a red banner the name of the district ‘Kapurthala’ in which the university is located is written. The colour red represents passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration; the colour blue denotes trust, character and integrity and the colour yellow denotes happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

DRAVIDIAN UNIVERSITY The Dravidian family of languages, which includes more than twenty seven tongues, is the most ancient living language family of the world. The Government of Andhra Pradesh established the Dravidian University in 1997 at the tri-lingual junction, Kuppam in Chittoor District through a Legislature Act of Andhra Pradesh and conceived as an interstate institution. SRMU is built upon the excellence of Shri Ramswaroop Memorial Group of Professional Colleges (SRMGPC) in engineering and business education. Its emblem has a red pot of nectar spewing out from a red vessel which has its motto ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Knowledge enjoys Immortality’ taken from Ishopanishad Verse 11, written on and supported by the blue globe with latitudinal and longitudinal lines. The spewed nectar falls as drops for the stakeholders benefit. These are ensconced in a border on which its name and the State is inscribed. GOA UNIVERSITY Goa University (GU) has three campuses in Panaji, Margao and Vasco da Gama. Its history dates back to the 17th century, when the Portuguese established the first university courses in Goa.
