The pictorial is ensconced by an orange circular border, which is inscribed with its name and its tagline in Marathi ‘सहकार्येण हेमलता वर्धते’ meaning ‘Cooperation Enhances the Source’. All these are further ensconced by a blue circular border. The tree refers to strength, individuality, expression, calmness, growth, the interconnectedness of everything and perpetuity and the women and the man refers to nourishing and supporting cooperation.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The colour blue represents serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour green denotes life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature.
