BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY Bharathidasan University (BDU) was established in February 1982 and was named after the Tamil poet, Bharathidasan. The motto of the university ‘We Will Create a Brave New World’ meaning ‘புதியதோர் உலகம் செய்வோம்’. The Bharathidasan Institute of Management known as BIM is located within the BHEL premises, a public sector undertaking at Thiruverumbur.
