PILLAIYAR CHUZHI
It is a practice among Tamils to write 'Pillaiyar Chuzhi' before writing anything. it is written with immense faith that writing this will help one complete the task without any obstacles and if at all any obstacle arises, it will be smoothly evened out by the grace of the Lord Ganesha. When ‘Jiva’ gets Godhood as Shiva it is called ‘involution’. Shiva is nothing but ‘Sath’ - existence or ‘Paramathma’. When he evolves into ‘Jiva’ with body, senses and ‘antahkaranam’ the process of evolution takes place. That thought is the starting point of 'Pillaiyar Chuzhi' in Tamil - of Shiva into a ‘Jiva’ Spiritually ‘Pillaiyar Chuzhi’ is the truncated form of the ‘pranava mantra’ ‘Aum’ which includes the three alphabets - akaram, ukaram , makaram in Sanskrit 'a','u','m '. ‘Aum’ is the ‘nada brahmam’, thefirst manifestation of ‘Brahman’ as sound.

The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. DIRECTORATE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE SERVICES During 1983, the then Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet (SAC-C) under the overall guidance of an Expert Committee chaired by Prof. M. M. Sharma, FRS, recommended that the laboratories in Delhi, Calcutta and Hyderabad must be developed as Science and Technology institutions, functioning in an autonomous fashion. Accordingly, the Government of India declared the forensic science Institutions, as Science and Technology institutions. In the first phase, the three Central Forensic Science Laboratories at Calcutta, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh were restructured into six scientific division viz. Biology, Ballistics, Chemistry, Explosive, Physics and Toxicology. CENTRAL WATER COMMISSION The circular seal of the Central Water Commission has a five petalled flower with a water dam, a powerline on sea water, a borewell pump, plants of cereal and a high tension transmission line each placed inside a petal. The flower is placed in an orange circle and this assembly is ensconced by a yellow circular border, on which its name in Devanagari and English and its motto in Sanskrit ‘आपो ज्योति रसोऽमृतम’ meaning ‘May That Awakens Our Intelligence’ are inscribed.
