Vallbhacharya Tilak
VALLABHACHARYA TILAK
The tilak of Vallbhacharyas is said to consist of two white lines down the forehead, forming a half-circle at its base and a white dot between them. Vallabhacharya (1479–1531 CE) was a devotional philosopher, who founded the Pushti sect in India, following the philosophy of ‘Shuddha Advaita’ (Pure Non-dualism). He wrote a very important commentary called ‘Shri Bhashya’. The Vallabhacharya sect worships Krishna in his character of Bala Gopala.
