Its ‘tagline ‘Waterproofing Expert’ is written on a blue banner in white below the yellow banner. The colour yellow denotes  happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity in solving water proofing issues and the colour blue denotes water, trust and loyalty.

BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY Bharathidasan University (BDU) was established in February 1982 and was named after the Tamil poet, Bharathidasan. The motto of the university ‘We Will Create a Brave New World’ meaning ‘புதியதோர் உலகம் செய்வோம்’. The Bharathidasan Institute of Management known as BIM is located within the BHEL premises, a public sector undertaking at Thiruverumbur. The emblem of the university has a portrait of Bharathidasan supported by a lotus holding a traditional lamp and surmounted by its name and place in Tamil and English.
