The circular seal of the Gopalaswamy Shishuvihara Institutions (GSI) has a traditional lamp placed inside a supported by its initials. The name of the institution is written on a pair of banners. These are ensconced by a blue circular border , which is inscribed with its name and place. Its motto in Kannada ‘ತಮಸೋ ಮಾ ಜ್ಯೋತಿರ್ ಗಮಯ’ meaning ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ surmounts the lamp and its tagline ‘ನಿರಂತರ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಪ್ರಸಾರ’ meaning ‘Continuous Knowledge Dissemination’ support its name on the banner. The traditional lamp refers to light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU The University of Jammu (UoJ) came into existence in 1969 through the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 following bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir. The circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a lotus with a background of mountains and surmounted by atomic structure. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border which carries its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ on one side and its name in Kashmiri on the other side. SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (SGCG), formerly known a s Sarguja University has a circular border in orange and green and has its name, place and motto inscribed in Devanagari and supported by a pair of tribal ornaments. The motto is written in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’. Inside the border, motifs of a drum, supported by a pair of horns; an open book topped by a red sun ; a banyan tree and a pair of crests of millets are placed.
