The shield is supported by a yellow banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘ஓதல் ஒழுக்கம் உலக ஒருமை’ meaning ‘The DIscipline of Learning Global Unity’ and surmounted by a yellow banner inscribed with the name of the college in Tamil. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the gopuram refers to heritage, history and divine blessings and guidance; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the hand with torch is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the hand with a mask refer to extracurricular activities.
