The blue and light blue emblem of V.O.Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) which was revised in 2023, has its name written as a monogram with letters ‘VOC’ as a ship in port. Below this its tagline ‘Global Connect’ is written and at the right its name is written in Tamil, Devanagari and English. The colour blue denotes water and symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

Its emblem has a lighthouse, a ship, a crane and other elements of seaport are in the form of a seashell ensconced by a yellow circle, on the border of which its name is written in Tamil, Devanagari and English in cyan. Thoothukudi is historically well known for pearl forming. The circle has an orange border.
