CENTRE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING
AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY

The Ahmedabad Education Society (AES) established the Centre for Environment Planning and Technology University (CEPT) in 1962 with the inception of the School of Architecture through grant-in-aid from the Government of Gujarat. CEPT became a University by the Gujarat State Legislature Act of 2005 with effect from April 12, 2005. The University comprises faculties of architecture, planning, technology, design and management. The insignia of the university is a wordmark of its acronym ‘CEPT’ in black crisp sans serif font supported by ‘University’ in a thin experimental font in blue, yellow, green and red colours. The insignia stands out for its uniqueness and simplicity without clutter.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans.
