The emblem of Guru Teg Bahadur College of Education, Kathua (GTBCE Kathua) features an oval housing a glowing traditional lamp supported by an open book and ensconced by an orange oval border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The motto of the college ‘Knowledge and Skills’ is written on a blue banner placed below the oval. The open book represents the widespread dissemination of knowledge, academic curriculum and foundational literacy; the lamp symbolises the light of wisdom dispelling the darkness of ignorance; and the radiant rays bursting outward from the flame represent the spread of enlightenment and values across society through trained teachers.

The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The bank's tagline is 'Aapka Bank, Aapke Dwaar'. The logo of the bank has a red circle superimposed by three parallel yellow strokes in unequal lengths flowing freely, upwards. The red dot denotes the hub of the bank and the parent organisation - Department of Post and the yellow lines denote its reach to each and every household providing them banking services. Yellow represents warmth, speed and light. The strokes denote speed, efficiency and quality service. AT the right of the motif, its name is written in red serif font, the serifs of which face left.
