The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Sendamangalam (GASCSDM) features a shield housing the motifs of poet Thiruvalluvar, an open book with symbols, the scene of Agaya Gangai waterfalls, and a photo of the college building. The shield is ensconced by a red circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. Below the seal, on a red banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘எளிமை கல்வி உழைப்பு உயர்வு’ meaning ‘Simplicity Education Hard Work Advancement’ is inscribed. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; poet Thiruvalluvar refers to Tamil literature and heritage; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the scene of waterfalls refers to the place's attractions.

DIRECTORATE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE SERVICES During 1983, the then Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet (SAC-C) under the overall guidance of an Expert Committee chaired by Prof. M. M. Sharma, FRS, recommended that the laboratories in Delhi, Calcutta and Hyderabad must be developed as Science and Technology institutions, functioning in an autonomous fashion. Accordingly, the Government of India declared the forensic science Institutions, as Science and Technology institutions. In the first phase, the three Central Forensic Science Laboratories at Calcutta, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh were restructured into six scientific division viz. Biology, Ballistics, Chemistry, Explosive, Physics and Toxicology. The vignetted blue to cyan colour circular logo has a partial structure of atom on top and its acronyms in Devanagari and English.
