The emblem of Jyothi Engineering College (JEC) features a torch with flame superimposed with a structure of an atom and supported by its tagline ‘Lead Kindly Light’ ensconced by a red oval. The oval is surmounted by the name of the college and supported by a pair of laurels holding the letters ‘TET’. The motto of the college ‘Creating Technology Leaders of Tomorrow’ and ‘Estd 2002;’ are written below the seal. The torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and regenerative power; the atomic structure refers to science and engineering; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

The central motifs of the winged Staff of Caduceus entwined by a pair of serpents crested with a flaming torch, supported by an open book and a pair of laurels replace the Lion Capital; and the name, place and motto of the college replace the name of the State. The motto of the college in Sanskrit is ‘विद्यया विन्दते अमृतम्’ (Mantra 2.4, Kenopanishad), which translates to ‘Immortality Through Knowledge’. The Staff of Caduceus symbolises medicine and medical profession; the book symbolises the accumulation and dissemination of medical knowledge and the academic foundation of the institution; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the laurels are symbols, which represent victory, honour and academic excellence.
