The pictorial emblem of Parisutham Institute of Technology and Science (PITS) features a grey check mark with a dark blue mortarboard hat supported by its motto ‘Towards Excellence’ and surmounted by its initials and two squares of grey and blue. Check marks or ticks are used to show something is correct, chosen, complete, or verified. The tick ‘✔’ comes from the letter V in the Latin word ‘veritas’, which means truth. The mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage. The colours grey signifies strength, longevity, unemotional, detached, balanced and impartial, power, influence, wisdom and intelligence; and blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
