The lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the eye refers to knowledge and ‘God sees all’ and the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

VALLABHACHARYA TILAK The tilak of Vallbhacharyas is said to consist of two white lines down the forehead, forming a half-circle at its base and a white dot between them. Vallabhacharya (1479–1531 CE) was a devotional philosopher, who founded the Pushti sect in India, following the philosophy of ‘Shuddha Advaita’ (Pure Non-dualism). He wrote a very important commentary called ‘Shri Bhashya’. The Vallabhacharya sect worships Krishna in his character of Bala Gopala.

These are supported by a partial wheel of gear, in the counter of which its motto in Sanskrit ‘विश्वं ग्रामे प्रतिष्टितम्' meaning 'The World is Established from the Village' is inscribed. The crown of wheat symbolises agriculture and village produce; the pair of footwear of Mahatma denote that the university follows in the footsteps of his ideals; the rising sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity and the gear wheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.
