The circular seal of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal (RIMSI) has a shield housing the motifs of its acronym and the Staff of Hermes. The shield is ensconced by a white circular border with black outlines bearing its name and place. These are supported by a pair of laurels on sides and by a banner bearing the name of the State at the bottom. The Staff refers to medicine and the medical profession; the shield refers to protection, safety, heritage, authority and bravery and the laurels refer to ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
