HATHA VIDYA GURUKULAM

The circular seal of Hatha Vidya Gurukulam (HVG) has a circle with sun housing a crescent moon holding an image of a sage practising yoga. These are ensconced by a circle with a brown outline. It is placed within a circular border with a brown outline. The border carries the name of the ashram and the name of its yoga tradition. The sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the crescent moon represents life and death and the sage represents tradition and age. The emblem gives a feel of ancient and traditional at the same time.

GURU GHASIDAS VISHWAVIDYALAYA Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), is a Central University of India, located in Bilaspur Chhattisgarh State, established under Central Universities Act 2009, No. 25 of 2009. Formerly called Guru Ghasidas University (GGU), established by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly, was formally inaugurated on June 16, 1983. The insignia of the institution has a innumerable concentric petalled lotus in a red circle encircled by its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान पंथ कृपान कै धारा’ meaning ‘Cult of Knowledge is Through the Blessings’ and is ensconced in a blue gear wheel turning clockwise. No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.

INDIA METEOROLOGICAL DEPARTMENT In the year 1875, the Government of India established the India Meteorological Department (IMD), bringing all meteorological work in the country under a central authority in Calcutta. The headquarters of IMD were later shifted to Shimla, then to Poona and finally to New Delhi. Its emblem has a weather map of India in blue colour, within a circular border, its name in Devanagari and English are written. These are divided by two Ashoka Chakras. On the crest is the National Emblem of India and at the bottom on a tricoloured banner, its motto ‘Adityath Jayate Vrushtih’ in Sanskrit, meaning ‘Sun Gives Rainfall’ is written.

SARLA BIRLA UNIVERSITY Sarala Birla University (SBU) is a self-financed private unitary university. The emblem of the university has a leaf of ‘bilva’ symbolising the Trinetra or three eyes of Lord Shiva, like volition, action and knowledge is placed in an orange circle. The middle leaf has the motifs of a sun and a lotus in  a waterbody. In the three grooves of the leaves the motifs of an elephant, shanka or conch and a swan are placed. Theses are circumscribed by a white circle with orange outline, which bears the vision of the university in Sanskrit ‘कौशल गुणवत्ता नेतृत्व’ meaning ‘Skills Quality Leadership'. MAHARISHI DAYANAND SARASWATI UNIVERSITY The emblem of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU) houses the motifs of a rising sun from the hills, a swan on water, an open book, its year of establishment and its name. The yellow circular border is inscribed with its name and place in Devanagari and its motto in Sanskrit ‘श्रद्धावाँल्लभते ज्ञानं तत्परः संयतेन्द्रियः’ (Shloka 39, Chapter 4, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘He who has Mastered his Senses, is Exclusively Devoted to his Practice and is Full of Faith, Attains Knowledge’.
