At the bottom, on a banner its motto ‘To Serve To Seek To Find and Not To Yield’ is inscribed. The Staff refers to medicine and the medical profession; the flame denotes  enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power and the colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.
