The emblem of Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd., Yeola has a two-pan beam balance held by a hand supported by a pair of hands of which one is holding paddy. These motifs are circumscribed by its motto एकमेका करू सहाय्य अवघे धरू सुपंथ’ meaning ‘Let's Help Each Other and Just Hold on to the Faith’ (Saint Tukaram) and supported by a banner inscribed with its name in Devanagari. Below the motifs, an open book and a fountain pen are placed. The beam balance refers to equality and justice; the gearwheel refers to industry and industrial financing; the pen refers to freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence and the book refers to education, knowledge, wisdom and learning.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. WESTERN AIR COMMAND The origin of the Western Air Command can be traced back to the nascent years of independent India, when the various formations of the Air Force were organised into two groups. On July 22, 1949 the No 1 Operational Group was re-designated as the Operational Command. The Command assumed its present name of Headquarters Western Air Command on June 10, 1963. Headquarters Western Air Command, located at Subroto Park, New Delhi, has over 200 bases placed under its command and has been involved in all major operations in India since independence.
