The blue colour emblem of Sivakasi Institute of Printing Technology (SIPT) has a sun and moon placed inside a circle supported by four cylinders on the left is ensconced by a gear wheel and supported by a banner inscribed with its tagline ‘Preserver of Arts’. The sun and the moon refer to the service of the Institute all through the day and night; the four cylinders refer to four colour cylinders for printing and the gear wheel refer to interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.

Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) was established by an Act of State Legislature on January 16, 1997, to promote technical, management and pharmaceutical education in the State.
