87TH AKHILA BHARATA KANNADA SAHITYA SAMMELANA, MANDYA-2024

The emblem of 87th Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana, Mandya-2024 (KSS) is presented as a throne on which Goddess Cauvery is placed with a backdrop of river Cauvery and its Krishnarajasagara Dam, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary and irrigated fields. The throne is crested with the motif of Goddess Bhuvaneswari holding the National Flag of Bharat with the flag Karnataka atop. A map of Karnataka is placed on the left and the portrait of the erstwhile king of Mysore is placed on either side. The back of the throne is inscribed with the name of the Sammelana in Kannada in a semicircular border. This is ensconced by a border of sugarcanes representing the agricultural produce of Mandya. The pedestal of the throne bears the images of the landmarks of the District of Mandya supported by cakes of jaggery and sugarcane. At the bottom the tagline ‘The Land of Sugar’ is inscribed.

KARNATAKA POLICE Police in Karnataka were called by various names in different regions. After initiation of policing, they were initially called Thoti, Talwar, Umbalidhar, Kattubidi, Neeraganti etc. The police primarily with policing used to do other jobs entrusted to them. CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF TAMILNADU The Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. Its emblem is in the form of a black shield with a crest of flames in yellow and orange colours. The top portion of the shield, which is separated by a horizontal double head arrow line, has its name written in Devanagari topped by a rising sun. The portion below this is divided into three parts with a symbol of recycling materials, a graduating scholar in a halo and a stem of plant shooting from a pair of meshed gear wheels, which are supported by a pair of blue ribbons.
