87TH AKHILA BHARATA KANNADA SAHITYA SAMMELANA, MANDYA-2024

The emblem of 87th Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana, Mandya-2024 (KSS) is presented as a throne on which Goddess Cauvery is placed with a backdrop of river Cauvery and its Krishnarajasagara Dam, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary and irrigated fields. The throne is crested with the motif of Goddess Bhuvaneswari holding the National Flag of Bharat with the flag Karnataka atop. A map of Karnataka is placed on the left and the portrait of the erstwhile king of Mysore is placed on either side. The back of the throne is inscribed with the name of the Sammelana in Kannada in a semicircular border. This is ensconced by a border of sugarcanes representing the agricultural produce of Mandya. The pedestal of the throne bears the images of the landmarks of the District of Mandya supported by cakes of jaggery and sugarcane. At the bottom the tagline ‘The Land of Sugar’ is inscribed.

DIRECTORATE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE SERVICES During 1983, the then Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet (SAC-C) under the overall guidance of an Expert Committee chaired by Prof. M. M. Sharma, FRS, recommended that the laboratories in Delhi, Calcutta and Hyderabad must be developed as Science and Technology institutions, functioning in an autonomous fashion.
