MAHAKUMBH PRAYAGRAJ 2025

The circular emblem of Mahakumbh Prayagraj 2025 has the satellite picture of Sangam supporting the motifs of the Akshay Vat and Bade Hanumanji temples of Prayagraj, the motifs of three sadhus associated with the Kumbh and the Amrit Kalash or the ‘Pot of Nectar’. Its name is written at the bottom in Devanagari and its tagline in Sanskrit ‘सर्वसिद्धिप्रदः कुंभ:’ meaning ‘Kumbh Providing All Kinds of Blessings’ is written at the top. In Hinduism, it is stated that the Amrit Kalash that came out of the churning of the ocean and the drops of nectar spilled on four places on earth, Prayagraj and Haridwar, Ujjain and Nashik where Kumbh and Maha Kumbh are organised respectively. The mouth of the Kalash represents Lord Mahavishnu, the neck represents Rudra, the base represents Lord Brahma, the middle represents all the Goddesses and the water represents all the oceans. The blowing of shankh or conch is a good omen. The background is the confluence of the rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati of Triveni, which frees one from the cycle of birth and death.
