The emblem of Vardhaman College of Engineering (VCE) features a blue and grey shield inscribed with its initials ‘VCE’, a gearwheel referring to engineering and technology and an excited graduating student with a mortarboard hat. The shield is supported by the name of the college. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the colour blue signifies  serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty; and grey represents strength, longevity, unemotional, detached, balanced and impartial, power, influence, wisdom and intelligence.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans.
