The emblem of Vasavi College of Engineering (VCE) features a red lotus holding a sun inscribed with the motifs of a factory, a gearwheel, and a rocket referring to the subject disciplines of engineering; and the initials ‘VCE’. The green leaves of the lotus are inscribed with the motto of the college in Telugu ‘శ్రేయస్సు’ and ‘విజ్ఞానం’ meaning ‘Prosperity’ and ‘Knowledge’ and surmounted by a blue banner inscribed with the name of the college. The lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; and the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.
