The emblem of Government College of Engineering, Jalgaon (GCOEJ) features a gearwheel housing a traditional lamp of Maharashtra ‘Laman Diva’. The wheel is surrounded by the motifs of a satellite dish antenna, an artificial satellite, an electronics circuit, and a production machine representing the subject disciplines of engineering. The name of the college surmounts the circular seal and is supported by a pair of hands. The motto of the college ‘राष्ट्रोद्धाराय तंत्र शिक्षणम्’ meaning ‘Technical Education for the Upliftment of the Nation’ is inscribed on a banner placed on the hands. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; and the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
