The emblem of Orissa School of Mining Engineering (OSME) features an illustration of the equipment used in mines ensconced by a yellow border inscribed with the name of the college. An image of the Wheel of Konark Sun Temple is placed on the border at the bottom. A yellow banner placed at the bottom bears the motto of the college ‘Wisdom, Courage & Confidence’. The Ashoka’s Lion Capital is placed atop the seal. The Wheel of Konark refers to the rich heritage and culture of the State of Odisha.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students.
