The emblem of Pravin Rohidas Patil College of Engineering & Technology (PRPCET) features a shield housing the motifs of a trishul or trident supported by a balance scale and an open book with the name of the managing Trust written around. On a red banner placed below the shield, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्या परम दैवतम्’ (Bhartrihari, Niti Shatakam) meaning ‘Knowledge is the Supreme Deity’ is written. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the trishul symbolises the control over the three aspects of nature - creation, preservation and destruction; balance scales are the traditional symbols of justice as wielded by statues of Lady Justice and the supporting hands signify the support for justice, healing and life; and the book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom.
