The emblem of Vemana Institute of Technology (VIT) features a three dimensional cyan colour letter ‘V’ inscribed with the motifs of a book with a lens, a DNA chain, a building, an atomic diagram and a set of gear wheels denoting learning, education and knowledge of science, engineering and technology. An image of the statue of Vemanna crests the letter ‘V’; surmounted by the name of the college and supported by the name of the managing trust. The assemblage is ensconced by a circle, supported by a pair of laurels on sides and by the college's motto ‘Knowledge is Power’ at the bottom. The laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

KARNATAKA POLICE Police in Karnataka were called by various names in different regions. After initiation of policing, they were initially called Thoti, Talwar, Umbalidhar, Kattubidi, Neeraganti etc. The police primarily with policing used to do other jobs entrusted to them. RAJENDRA UNIVERSITY Rajendra University, Balangir, recognized by UGC as a State Public University, owes its origin to an Intermediate college setup in Balangir in 1944 by Maharaja Rajendra Narayan Sighdeo, the then ruler of the erstwhile Patna State and one of the former Chief Ministers of Odisha. This college was subsequently upgraded to a Degree college in 1946. It was granted autonomy with effect from April 1, 2002. It has been upgraded to a university with effect from September 1, 2020.
