The blue emblem of the National Institute For Locomotor Disabilities (NILD) has the motifs a human bound by a triangle, an open book, a banner with its motto in Sanskrit ‘प्रतिवन्धेषु निर्भयः’ meaning ‘Fearless in the Face of Obstacles’ are held in a blue circle. The circle is ensconced by a white border on which its name and year of establishment is written. The human inside a triangle is the person who is handicapped by obstacles and the open book refers to knowledge, education, wisdom and learning.
