KARNATAKA POLICE Police in Karnataka were called by various names in different regions. After initiation of policing, they were initially called Thoti, Talwar, Umbalidhar, Kattubidi, Neeraganti etc. The police primarily with policing used to do other jobs entrusted to them. Mysore State was the predecessor to Karnataka State, which was created on November 1, 1965. Sri. L. Rickets was appointed as first Inspector General of Police. During the rule of Maharajas of Mysore, the policing existed in different variants. Hukumnama or Kandachara was issued for policing during the rule of Maharaja Mummudi Krishna Raja Wodeyar (1799-1811) at old Mysore region under the British rule, when Sri. Poornaiah was Dewan. The soldiers belonging to Maharaja’s infantry were entrusted with responsibility of policing, which European soldiers supervised. JAL JEEVAN MISSION Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) was launched by the Government of India on August15, 2019 in partnership with the States, to enable every household in villages to have Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) in the next 5 years. It is envisaged that with FHTC, each household will have supply of potable water (at least 55 lpcd as prescribed in BIS 10500:2012) on regular and long-term basis. To implement the mission, institutional arrangements at various levels have been made and State’s PHE and RWS Departments are to play a critical role. They have to help Gram Panchayat (GP) and / or its sub-committee to plan, implement, manage, operate and maintain its in-village water supply systems. The monochrome logo in bright blue colour has a silhouetted tap with flowing water with the background of a water drop. The mission’s slogan ‘Har Ghar Jal’ and the name of the mission ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ are written below in sans serif.

RAJASTHAN POLICE The erstwhile princely States constituting Rajasthan varied considerably in size, population, revenue resources, administrative procedures and practices. With the merger of these States, their police forces were amalgamated into a single police force, which is known as Rajasthan Police. In the intial years after its inception, Rajasthan Police was headed by officers on deputation. The Rajasthan Police Service was formed in January 1951 and eligible officers from all over the State were appointed. The emblem of Rajasthan Police consists of the ‘Jaya Stambh’ or Victory Tower of Chittaorgarh between two swords in saltire and a shield charged with Jaya Stambh, crested with the Ashoka Lion Capital with its motto, being the emblem of India. Below is the name of the service: Rajasthan Police: ‘Rajasthan Police’ in Devanagari. The emblem is surrounded by a garland and a ribbon below charged with a star and the motto: ‘सेवार्थ कटिबद्द्ता’ meaning ‘Committed to Serve’.

GREATER CHENNAI CORPORATION The Greater Chennai Corporation (previously Madras) (GCC)is the Oldest Municipal Institution in India established on the September 29, 1688. A charter was issued on the December 30, 1607 by East India Company constituting the ‘Town of Fort St. George’ and all the territories thereunto belonging, not exceeding the distance of ten miles from the Fort, into a Corporation. The Parliamentary Act of 1792 gave the Corporation power to levy Municipal Taxes in the City. The Municipal administration properly commenced from the Parliamentary Act, 1792 making provision for the good order and administration of the city. The Municipal Act has been amended introducing from time to time major changes in the constitution and powers of the Corporation. SEAFOOD EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION OF INDIA Seafood export industry in India has surged to a new high over the years. Starting from canned shrimp, other varieties of fish, squid, cuttlefish, octopus, crabs, clams and mussels etc., are being exported now. The Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI) caters to the well being of the seafood exporting fraternity of India. PRADHAN MANTRI JAN AUSHADHI PARIYOJANA Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) is a campaign launched in November 2008 by the Department of Pharmaceuticals Government of India in association with Central Pharma Public Sector Undertaking, to provide quality medicines at affordable prices to the masses through dedicated outlets called ‘Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra’ branded as ‘Jan Aushadhi’. These provide generic medicines at lowest prices. The potency of these medicines are same as compared to expensive branded medicines available in the open market. Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India (BPPI) is the implementation agency for PMBJP. The four coloured logo has symbols and Devanagari words. The symbol consists of two joyous persons in blue colour, in the backdrop of a bottle of medicine in fresh green colour and ensconced by a circle. The name of the scheme is written in fresh green, Orange and blue colours.
