The insignia of Indian Sign Language Research & Training Centre (ISLRTC) in National Tricolours has a partial gear wheel in blue colour holding its name in orange and green in Devanagari and English housing a motif of a human showing hand signs supported by an open book. The wheel is crested by a mortarboard hat and below this assemblage on a black banner the name of the place is written. The gear wheel refers to interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the mortarboard hat refers to educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage and the book refers to learning, education, wisdom and knowledge.
