The red, green and blue colour emblem of National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) is a pencil supporting a set of books and a human ensconced by a gear wheel. Its acronym is written below the motif. At the bottom its motto in Sanskrit ‘कौशल गुणवत्ता प्रगति’ meaning ‘Skill Quality Progress’. The pencil represents education, skill and practice; the books represent knowledge, education and learning and the gear wheel represents efficiency, precision, interconnectedness, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.
