THE JAMMU & KASHMIR LIGHT INFANTRY
THE JAMMU & KASHMIR LIGHT INFANTRY India's first Light Infantry was born out of the peoples' response in 1947, to the invasion of Kashmir by Pakistan. In the difficult days of the invasion, the population formed local defence groups. These were later organised into militias responsible for specific sectors, e.g., Leh, Nubra, Jammu, Punch, etc. Over a period, these were grouped into the Militia battalions. Two of these were later converted into the Ladakh Scouts. The militia battalions operated with skill on the Line of Control (LoC) and in the 1971 Indo-Pak War earned three battle honours. In 1972, the militia battalions were brought on par with the army units, and in 1976 designated the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI). The 8th JAK LI earned great honour by capturing a Pakistani post at 21,000 feet at the Siachen Glacier in 1987. Its Regimental Centre is Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir and its Regimental insignia is a pair of crossed muskets. ...

MAHATMA GANDHI CHITRAKOOT GRAMODAY VISHWAVIDYALAYA The emblem of Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramoday Vishwavidyalaya (MGCGV) has a crown of wheat supported by the footwear of Mahatma Gandhi with a rising sun in the background. These are supported by a partial wheel of gear, in the counter of which its motto in Sanskrit ‘विश्वं ग्रामे प्रतिष्टितम्' meaning 'The World is Established from the Village' is inscribed. The crown of wheat symbolises agriculture and village produce; the pair of footwear of Mahatma denote that the university follows in the footsteps of his ideals; the rising sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity and the gear wheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.

NATIONAL SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM The National Single Window System (NSWS) is a digital platform to guide you in identifying and applying for approvals according to your business requirements. The Know Your Approvals (KYA) module includes guidance for thirty two Central Departments and thirty two States. The portal hosts applications for approvals from twenty eight Central Departments and twenty State Governments. These approvals can be applied through NSWS. Its logo has an emblem in inverted ‘s’ in black starting with an orange dot and ending with a green dot, symbolising the application and approvals of proposals through a single window. Alongside, its name is written in black sans serif condensed type.
