Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities (PDUNIPPD) has Staff of Asclepius with an entwined serpent topped by a red flame of  torch and supported by an open book on a blue circle. It is supported by a pair of green laurels on sides and a yellow semicircular banner carrying its name. At the bottom the name of the place is written on a banner. The Staff represents medicine and medical profession; the flame of  torch refers to enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the book refers to education, learning, knowledge and wisdom and the laurels refer to ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. DIRECTORATE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE SERVICES During 1983, the then Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet (SAC-C) under the overall guidance of an Expert Committee chaired by Prof. M. M. Sharma, FRS, recommended that the laboratories in Delhi, Calcutta and Hyderabad must be developed as Science and Technology institutions, functioning in an autonomous fashion. Accordingly, the Government of India declared the forensic science Institutions, as Science and Technology institutions. In the first phase, the three Central Forensic Science Laboratories at Calcutta, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh were restructured into six scientific division viz. Biology, Ballistics, Chemistry, Explosive, Physics and Toxicology.
