The pictorial emblem of National commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) has an abstract lotus housing a happy human in yellow, orange, green and cyan colours. Its acronym is placed in it at the bottom. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘आयुषे सर्वलोकानाम्’ meaning ‘The Science of Life’ is written below the motif. The lotus refers to purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the human refers to humanity and the rainbow colours denote the wide range and scope of the system of medicine.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The logo of the university has two strokes of orange and green forming the shape of ‘U’ in tricolour and has a ‘Ashoka Chakra’ at its top. This is supported by an open book on which images of an atom and a burning candle are depicted.
