The human is surrounded by the national tricolour - orange, white and green.. Its name is written in black around the orange circle and its slogan ‘TB Harega Desh Jeetega’ is written below the circle.

NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), as a statutory body of Government of India, came into existence in pursuance of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 on August 17, 1995. The emblem of NCTE has an abstract symbol which shows a pair of hands supporting a light or lotus bud held by a pair of strong hands symbolise, enabling the teachers in their profession. The emblem of the Universityhas its motto ‘सरस्वती श्रुतिमहताम महीयतम्’ (May the sayings of the wise be glorified) which is a quotation from Kalidasa, inscribed in it. The university has adopted a Kalidasean line meaning ‘May the Sayings of the Wise be Glorified’, as its motto.
