The lotus refers to purity, enlightenment, rebirth, resilience, transformation, personal growth, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the colour orange denotes energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), as a statutory body of Government of India, came into existence in pursuance of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 on August 17, 1995. The emblem of NCTE has an abstract symbol which shows a pair of hands supporting a light or lotus bud held by a pair of strong hands symbolise, enabling the teachers in their profession. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘गुरुर्गुरुतमो धाम’ meaning ‘Supporting the Teacher to Glory’ and its acronym are written.

KUMAR BHASKAR VARMA SANSKRIT AND ANCIENT STUDIES UNIVERSITY  The Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University was set up with a notification by the Government of Assam dated May 24, 2011. The emblem of the Universityhas its motto ‘सरस्वती श्रुतिमहताम महीयतम्’ (May the sayings of the wise be glorified) which is a quotation from Kalidasa, inscribed in it. The university has adopted a Kalidasean line meaning ‘May the Sayings of the Wise be Glorified’, as its motto. Knowledge is an eternal entity and dissemination of knowledge is what a university stands for. The motto is inscribed on a wrapped sheet of paper at the middle of the emblem. Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) has been progressing ahead with the visualisation to emerge as a premier research and development organisation for the design, development and deployment of world class electronics and IT solutions for economic and human advancement. DIRECTORATE OF RICE RESEARCH Directorate of Rice Research (DRR) formerly All India Coordinated Rice Improvement Project - AICRIP, was established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research - ICAR in 1965 with its national headquarters at Hyderabad to organize and coordinate multi-location testing of genetic lines and technologies for crop production and protection generated across the country. The Project was elevated to Directorate of Rice Research in 1975 with an added mandate of research in the thrust areas of irrigated rice.
