The tree refers to strength, individuality, expression, calmness, growth, the interconnectedness of everything and perpetuity; the colour pinkish orange denotes style and aesthetics and dark aqua marine denote courage, protection and tranquillity.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The logo of the university has two strokes of orange and green forming the shape of ‘U’ in tricolour and has a ‘Ashoka Chakra’ at its top. This is supported by an open book on which images of an atom and a burning candle are depicted. The circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a lotus with a background of mountains and surmounted by atomic structure.
