The emblem of Government College of Technology, Coimbatore features a shield housing the motifs of Dharma Chakra representing the nation; a theodolite referring to precision and the field of civil engineering; a stylised structure referring to architecture and diagonal lines representing electrical engineering and the dynamic nature of technology. The shield is surmounted by a banner, which is inscribed with the name of the college in Tamil and supported by banner inscribed with its motto in Tamil ‘தொழில் நுட்பம் வினைத் திட்பம்’ meaning ‘Technology is Perfection in Work’. The shield is supported by decorative elements of floral motifs and ornate borders.
