The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the factory refers to industry and production; and the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty.

The Staff is supported by green mountains with orange rising sun and its motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानम् जीवनम् च प्रति’ meaning ‘Towards Knowledge and Life’. These are ensconced by a blue circle around which its name is written. This is supported by a pair of laurels. Below these motifs its acronym is written. CENTRAL AIR COMMAND Indian Air Force had undergone a major expansion process during the 1950s wherein the command and control structure was reorganised. The No.1 Operational Group of 1947 at Calcutta was revived in 1958 and was given the responsibility of organising and supervising the aerial operations of the IAF in the Eastern as well as the Central sector of the country. Post Chinese aggression of 1962, further requirement of change was felt and the area of responsibility of this Operational Group was bifurcated in two separate commands. Accordingly, Central Air Command (CAC) was formed in March 1962 to keep vigil along the Indo-Nepal boundaries at Rani Kutir, Kolkata. In February 1966, HQ CAC was shifted to Bamrauli, Allahabad. KASHI TAMIL SANGAMAM The Ministry of Education, Government of India will organise 'Kashi Tamil Sangamam'- a month long programme from November 16, 2022 - to rediscover the centuries-old bond of knowledge and ancient civilizational linkage between Varanasi and Tamilnadu. The programme will be organised under the framework of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat'. IIT-Madras and Banaras Hindu University are the hosting partners of this mega event. Its logo is a greyish blue pen supported on both sides by temple towers of Banaras and Tamilnadu. It is ensconced by a dark blue circular line and supported by a blue line depicting water.
