The emblem of Durga Soren University (DSU) features a Greco-Roman style facade with columns supported by a pair of laurels and a star and surmounted by the motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘नास्ति विद्यासमं वित्तं नास्ति विद्यासमं सुखम्’ meaning ‘There is No Wealth Like Knowledge, and There is No Happiness Like Knowledge’. The name of the university is written at the bottom. The motifs are ensconced by a pair of blue circular outlines. The red, Greco-Roman style facade with columns represents a classical academic institution or a temple of knowledge, signifying stability and high standards of learning. The laurels are the long-standing symbol of victory, excellence and academic achievement. The five-pointed star symbolises guidance, aspiration and the pursuit of excellence.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The logo is modern, trendy and attractive.
