The emblem of Dr. M.G.R. Government Arts and Science College for Women, Villupuram (GACWVPM) features a pennant scroll inscribed with the name of the college in Tamil and the motifs of a lotus, peacock, a traditional lamp, a veena and an open book. A brown decorative banner placed below the pennant is inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘உள்ளுவதெல்லாம் உயர்வுள்ளல்’ (596, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘All One thinks About Should be About High Things’. The pennant scroll is a symbol of official communication, history, and knowledge; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the peacock symbolises regrowth, rejuvenation, royalty, respect, honour, integrity, beauty, love and passion; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; and the veena denotes tradition, arts and culture.

ECGC LIMITED ECGC Limited (Formerly Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd.), wholly owned by Government of India, was set up in 1957 with the objective of promoting exports from the country by providing Credit Risk Insurance and related services for exports. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.

UTTARAKHAND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT BOARD Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) is the highest body to advise the Government on all matters relating to tourism in the State. The logo of the Board is based on Devanagari letter ‘उ’ drawn using four swooshes, in which the cyan represents the mountains, blue represents the rivers, red represents the temples of the land and green represents the forests.
